Foster Program

**As a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, all of our dogs have been placed into “COVID-19 Foster Homes” and we are not in need of temporary fosters for our cats or dogs at the current time.**

You Supply the Love, We Supply Everything Else

Dog Foster Program

FOLAS is committed to finding loving homes for all of our dogs. We provide top-notch vet care, and ensure that each dog we adopt out is spayed/neutered and up to date on all of their shots. Unlike many shelters, we go through a very involved screening process, making sure each of our animals is going to a safe and loving home.

Not sure if you’re ready to adopt? We are always looking for foster homes! Since we are a small, no-kill facility with a maximum capacity of 9 dogs, we rely heavily on generous individuals who are willing to open their homes and their hearts to one of our furry friends while we work hard to find them a permanent home. We provide all necessary supplies, you provide a warm, loving home.

Since some of our dogs have been at the shelter as long as one year, fostering allows us to continue to save so many others and maintain the care of those we currently house.

Kittens are especially in need of foster care, as their immune systems are not fully developed and more often than not they end up getting sick in the shelter, despite our every effort to keep the facility as clean and germ-free as possible.
